Dearest Rick
I am so sorry but I will not be able to be at Erin’s funeral today as I have come down with this terrible bronchitis and have been In bed for the last 48 hours. You know me I don’t get sick too often and if I could have I would been been there. I was hoping to be able to make but alas no go. Still running a temperature, and zero energy. Pleases know that I will be thinking of you and the family this morning. So many happy memories of our trip to Yorshire and finding Ernies war time airbase. Memories that will stay with us always. You, Rick have been a wonderful son to your dad, God bless you
Much love
Anne

So many memories of growing up in the family friendly neighbourhood - linked closely by our parents for many of our growing up years. I remember my Dad recalling the time we were invited up to the cottage in Wilberforce, taking his new boat out on the lake, only to hit a boulder and spring a leak - left a lasting memory that's for sure. It brings comfort knowing that Ernie held a strong faith and knowing his destiny once his last breath on earth was taken - reunited with those that have gone before him to meet again - what a legacy for a great man to leave those that he leaves behind.
Memories are a precious gift that you will each cherish in the coming days/weeks/months/years.

To the Tallman Family
We would like to extend our sincere condolences on the passing of your dear Father. Highland Road was a great place for us all to live and grow up. The Schaaf farm right next door to your family home gave us lots of room to explore and play. Our first snowmobile rides were on his machine. Lots of good memories!
Our deepest sympathy to the Tallman Family.

To all the Tallman Family ; We are so saddened to see that another loved one who was a special part of our past has passed on. Uncle Allen Koch fondly remembers when Ernie and his two brothers stayed overnight at his home in Nova Scotia and a lobsterfest was on so they were able to eat all the lobster they wanted. He really enjoyed the visit. Living beside the Tallmans I remember all the weird hours he kept with his shift work and while we were getting up and probably making too much noise he was just trying to get to bed and get some sleep. Great neighbours who had kids our age to play with and the Scaaf farm to play at made for a wonderful life in the country that has always been appreciated and never forgotten. Our deepest sympathies to all Ernie's loved ones.

Lots of wonderful memories of Uncle Ernie. Time spent as a child at the cottage with Jane. Him driving me home when I was homesick. His sense of humour was the best. His laugh too! He reminded me of my dad, in so many ways. Our thoughts are with all of you. Hold the memories close to your heart!

Uncle Ernie was one of my favorites!!
As Mom has passed is safe for me to now admit that Uncle Ernie and Uncle Carl gave me my 1st taste of Beer on the back lawn of house in Wilberforce
I don’t remember the year but I would guess 1956
I traveled from Bapist Lake to Wilberforce that day on the IBO Railroad by my self to stay with Grandma
Uncle Ernie you were GREAT and SPECIAL!!!
Love Arthur
