Obituary of Bernadette Christina Walton

Peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Sunday, September 2, 2018.

Bernadette (nee Rowe) Walton of Dorchester in her 79th year.

Wife of the late Terrence Walton.

Beloved mother of Andrew (wife Annita) of Dorchester.

Loving grandmother of Matthew Walton, Daniel Walton, Samantha Walton, Ricco DeSousa and Catarina DeSousa.

Dear sister of Anne Olejniczak and Kevin Rowe (wife Liz) and predeceased by brothers Gerry, Michael and John Rowe.

Also survived by several nieces and nephews and by sister in law Sylvia.

Bernadette spent several years volunteering at the V.O.N. DorchesterAdult Day Care Program and was a member of the local Red Hat Ladies and also volunteered  at Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll.  She was also a member of the C.W.L. at Sacred Heart Church, Ingersoll which included serving breakfast and lunches to the students at Sacred Heart School, Ingersoll.

Bernadette's family would like to thank all of her wonderful friends  that she has made in the Dorchester and Ingersoll communities for their loyal friendship and support over the last many years.

Friends will be received at the Bieman Funeral Home, 3970 Hamilton Road, Dorchester (Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.).  Prayers will be held at the funeral home at 8:30 p.m.  Funeral mass at Mary Immaculate Roman Catholic Church, 1980 Trafalgar Street, London on Saturday, September 8 at 12:00 noon.

Cremation with interment of cremated remains at Dorchester Union Cemetery.

Light refreshments will follow in the Parish Hall following the funeral mass.
