Obituary of Sylvia Anne Kerr

Peacefully at Victoria Hospital, Sylvia Anne Kerr on April 15th 2019 in her 68th year. Beloved wife of Ernest Kerr Sr. Loving mother of her sons Ernest Kerr Jr. (common law partner Dawn Bowman) and Jordan Kerr (wife Laura). Cherished grandmother of Lily, Colton (both children of Andreia Cavaco-Kerr) Alex, Sophia and Owen. Deeply missed by her sisters Suzanne Dewan (Jim), Mary-Jane McKenzie, Rosemarie Simmers (predeceased by her husband Brian), Patrice Olson (Mike), Sharon Jones (sister-in-law), Mary Charron (Larry) (sister-in-law) and her brother Philip Jones (Yvonne). Fondly remembered by all of her loving nieces and nephews and friends. Predeceased by her brothers Patrick (Paddy) Jones and Moe Jones (Maribeth). Sylvia was passionate about her family and friends.  She enjoyed making sure those around her were loved, happy and supported.  Sylvia was always a strong voice and advocator for those who were not able to have their voice heard.  In her spare time, she loved to bake delicious desserts and cook outstanding meals for her family and friends. Sylvia did not want a funeral service or flowers but invites charitable donations to The Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society, Mission Services of London (4-797 York Street London, ON,  N5W 6A8) or Anova (101 Wellington Road London, Ontario N6C 4M7) . The Kerr family would like to thank all of the staff at Victoria LHSC on floor C7 200 wing for all of their exceptional support, compassion and assistance. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Sylvia’s life will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 between the hours of 1:00 p.m and 5:00 p.m. at the Dorchester Golf and Country Club, 3342 Hamilton Road, Dorchester, where everyone is encouraged to enjoy a time of remembrance and fellowship.
