Obituary of Harry Frederick Deyell

DEYELL, Harry Fredrick “Archie” -

Of Dorchester, passed away peacefully, at Parkwood Institute, St. Joseph’s Health Care on Monday, August 27, 2018, in his 94th year. Beloved husband of his first wife of 44 years, the late Freida (Smith) Deyell and of his second wife of 24 years, the late Maxine (Dufton) Deyell. Loving father of Bill (Donna), Carol Deyell, Bob (Janette) and Gary (Deb). Cherished Grandfather to 11 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his sister Mary Mason, and by his step-brother Bob McConnell. Archie was a veteran member of the R.C.A.F. and proudly served his country overseas during WWII. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Bieman Funeral Home, 3970 Hamilton Rd., Dorchester, Ontario on Friday, September 14th, 2018 from 10am – 11am. There will be a funeral service at 11am, followed by interment in the Dorchester Union Cemetery, Dorchester, Ontario. A celebration of Archie’s life will take place at the Dorchester Legion Branch 513, 1227 Donnybrook Drive, Dorchester, Ontario from 12-4 pm. The entire Deyell family would like to sincerely thank the nursing staff, 4th Floor, Elgin Wing, Parkwood Institute, for the dedicated, compassionate, care that they provided during Archie’s almost 2-year time in residence. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dorchester Legion Branch 513.
