I always enjoyed Anne's fondness for animals. There was Blacky the squirrel who knew the procedure for where to sit snd when to get his peanuts. Then there was Tom the turkey that would come knocking at her patio door. He would admire his friend in the rear view mirror of my car, and challenge other cars on the road! We would do drives to visit the deer and on a rare occasion take carrots and apples. We would talk of her horses and how she still thinks of her horse friends. We also enjoyed watching the dogs at the park and the birds that would nest on her front porch. All of these were just a small part of the things I liked about spending time with Anne. She would talk often of how Mike would call every morning and how she loved to hear from all of her family. If it were up to her, she would have spent more time with them. She was energized by the visits of the great grandkids too.
Her kindness also spread to her friends and neighbours as we often checked in on them. I'm sure fortunate I was able to get to know Anne!

Mike and family,
We are very sorry to hear about the passing of Anne. Anne was a wonderful person and will be dearly missed.
I will always be grateful to Anne for saving my life as she pulled me out of Lake Muskoka as a young lad.
God bless you Anne.

Anne enjoyed her daily outing weather it was going shopping or for a drive to the hairdresser, Anne loved going to the doggie park , many times laughing at the silly thing doggies do , she was happy just doing that, we often went to my trailer sitting on the deck listening to elvis she did have to listen to rod Stewart and was ok with him but it always went back to elvis, she told me a story of when she was a teen that she wanted to see Elvis and that her dad took her, the smile on her face when she was telling me was priceless,
anne always looked at each day with a positive happy attitude, you will be greatly missed Anne, your friend Pauline

Anne was one of a kind. I so loved our little driving adventures and our time together. The places we went will always be more special to me because of Anne. Anne you will be missed
Anne was so very proud of her family, Mike, Maggie, Kellie and her daughters. She talked about you all, all the time. I'm so sorry you lost your Nan/mom. She lived a full life right to her last day and did it her way
To Anne's friends and neighbours, she sure did appreciate you all and cared so much for everyone's troubles and successes. She had a good heart❤️
Goodbye my friend

Our lives began to become intertwined when I became friends with Garry at a farmer's curling bonspiel. We became friends that regularly as we met at Tim Hortons and then going to Mohawk Racetrack together, taking in the horse races.
When Garry suddenly passed, Anne would ask me to drive her for appointments, grocery shopping, and various family meetings, etc.
It didn't take long for her to get me involved with her passions of The Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society, Standardbred Racing Chaplaincy of Canada, and her gardens, having me mow lawns, weeding beds, and performing light duties in the house.
She was generous, some may say to a fault, with her gratuities, which spilled over into time with us on social outings or talks on the telephone.
Our times together came mostly to an end once she moved to London, but we still delighted in her Facebook postings.
We will miss our times together and will continue to follow the family members in the days and years to follow.
