Very saddened to hear of Aunt Betty's passing. She was always positive in attitude and kind in spirit. She was my dad Lawrence Holder's younger sister and a baby sitter to my two older sisters Linda and Elaine. We lived right next door. In the old B&W photo I have, Linda and Elaine were probably 5 or 7 years old. There was the big old barn in the background and Uncle Fred's geese running around that would chase us kids and give us a bite that left bruises. In that photo Aunt Betty is sitting on the ground with Linda and Elaine. Aunt Betty had an unruly mop of black curly hair and would tell us of the times she went to school with a very conservative hair and clothes style. Her parents grandpa and grandma Holder were old fashioned strict. Once at school she changed into the latest fashions and hair style, pretty sly. She was always upbeat and a ball of energy and always seemed to be chewing gum. She got along well with her many brothers and sisters.and was great friends with my sister Linda. Condolences to Aunt Betty's children and Betty's many family members. Our kindest sympathies, John and Patricia in Kincardine Ont.

When I think of Aunt Betty I see an incredibly strong and resilient woman who made her own path in life. She was dedicated to family and was always up to having a good time wherever she went.
Both myself and my girls have fond memories of Aunt Betty over the years. From all the family gatherings to the time spent up north at the cottage. She was always a ball of energy and full of life. From challenging her great nieces (my girls) up the hill at the cottage to a good game of badminton in her mid 70’s, nothing really slowed her down. At 4’10 she was and a force to be reckoned with…..small but mighty all neatly rolled into one package.
One never knew what to expect at any party when Aunt Betty was present, but if there was an empty table she would be the one up there dancing on it.
She always had a good sense of humour and a zest for life. Aunt Betty was a master at practical jokes and picking out the perfect birthday card to prank someone with.
Age was just a number to her….she was always young at heart.
Aunt Betty sure packed a lot into 95 years and certainly will be missed.
I will forever cherish all the great moments and memories she left us with.

Sorry to hear of your mom passing . Aunt Betty was always full of laughs and smiles. As kids we remember the farm we went to with our mom and dad. Margaret and Joseph Bryson. Our thoughts are with you all at this time. Mom's are those special ladies who guide us, feed us, teach us, care for us, and they cannot ever be replaced. We light this candle for Aunt Betty and family.
The Bryson Family, Pat, Teresa, Jody, Susan..
Margaret and Joe, and Betty and Ralph are now all laughing together, may their light continue to shine in all of us.

With our hearts filled with sadness, surrounded by her family we say goodbye to my grandma Betty or as the great-grand kids would call her “Grandma “Dusty, For as long as I can remember she was the fun loving, energetic grandma, always on the go, She had an infectious laugh and a zest for life that was contagious. She took us on so many adventures, like bike riding, long walks around the lake up north, her energy was boundless. She instilled in me a love for nature, and I spent countless summers at her cottage, swimming, fishing, exploring, catching frogs She also introduced me to my favorite soap opera, The Young & The Restless, that we bonded over. Her selflessness and devotion to her family were unmatched, her potato salad & cherry tarts were unforgettable. She left an indelible mark on our lives, you are no longer in pain grandma, go be with grandpa you will be forever missed! Love Cheryl granddaughter

My condolences on the passing of your Mom, Betty.
Karen Wightman Blais, BIll & Cathy Wightman's daughter, messaged me with the sad news.
It's never easy losing a loved one no matter how old they are.
My husband, your 2nd cousin, Bruce Wightman, was a cousin of your Dad's and he passed away on January 6, 2023.
Over the years, we never crossed paths other than weddings or funerals.
Again, my condolences and thinking of all of you at this time.
