Suddenly at his residence on Saturday, December 7, 2024. Joseph Michael Legue of Dorchester passed away in his 73rd year. Beloved husband of Janet (McKinlay). Dear father of Jayson (Tammy) of London. Loving grandfather Lily, Aidan and Mya. Joe is survived by his brothers Bob (Darlene) and Larry (Anne) all of Blenheim and William (Denise) of Calgary. Brother-in-law of Margot and Gord Bickell of Little Current, Jim and Mary Mckinlay of Blenheim, Martha and David Wickware of Rondeau Park and JoAnn Nead of Toronto. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Garnet and Theresa Legue and by brothers Donald and John. Joe was the proud owner/operator of Erie Sheet Metal in Dorchester for 44 years. He was an avid moose and deer hunter; had fun times playing recreational hockey Sunday mornings in Dorchester. Joe enjoyed and had fond memories of spending summer weekends with his boating friends. Both Joe and Janet enjoyed travelling with family and friends over the years and was also an avid fan of the Montreal Canadiens and the Dallas Cowboys. Cremation has taken place. Visitation for Joe will take place on Sunday, January 5,2025 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Joe's life between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at Slo-Pitch City, 2156 SloPitch Road, Putnam. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dorchester Food Bank, 233 Minnie Street, P.O. Box 101 Dorchester, ON N0L 1G2 or to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #513, 1227 Donnybrook Drive, Dorchester, ON N0L 1G5 would be appreciated.
