Obituary of Michael David Foster

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michael David Foster at the age of 83. Michael “Mike” peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at London Parkwood Hospital. A lifelong farmer and hardworking “tin smith” sheet metal worker. The kindest man we knew, with a gentle heart and noble spirit. He will be profoundly missed. Predeceased by his beloved wife Isabel Foster (2006 ). Dearly missed by his son Scott Foster of Belmont and daughter in law Tracy Foster (nee McIntosh). Dearly missed by his daughter Paula Foster Reed of Belmont and son in law Michael Reed. Loving grandfather of David McIntosh (wife Jessica) of London, Sammy Corbett (husband Aden) of London and Christian Foster of London. Dear grandfather to Evan, Sean, Isabella, Rhys and Sophie Reed. A wonderful stand in grandpa for RJ. Great grandfather to Leland, Charlie and Lachlan. Cremation has already taken place. Visitation will be held at the Bieman Funeral Home, Dorchester on Friday from 12:00pm-2:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service to celebrate Mike’s life at 2:00pm officiated by Don McPherson. Following the service, Mike will be laid to rest at Dorchester Union Cemetery. A light lunch will follow after the service at the Belmont United Church, 245 College Street, Belmont. A special thanks for the care and compassion he received from the palliative care staff at Parkwood during the past week, and the numerous nurses who cared for him during his year receiving transfusions.
