Obituary of John Vivian Woods

At Strathmere Lodge, Strathroy, Ontario on Saturday May 25th 2024, John Vivian Woods (formerly of Dorchester) in his 93rd year. Predeceased by his Father, Joseph Vivian Woods and his Mother Florence Mydra Woods (nee Smith). John was an only child and is survived and fondly remembered by multiple first cousins. John farmed in North Dorchester Township and he continued to farm until 2005. In 2008 John moved to the village of Thamesford, Oxford County. In May 2021 he moved back to Middlesex County and resided at Strathmere Lodge in Strathroy where he received excellent care. John was also a proud lifetime member of Merrill Lodge #344, Dorchester, Ontario. Friends and family will be received at the Bieman Funeral Home, 3970 Hamilton Road, Dorchester on Wednesday May 29th, 2024 between 12:30PM and 2:00PM followed by a funeral service officiated by Rev. Karlene Kimber. Interment at Dorchester Union Cemetery. Appreciation to the staff at Strathmere Lodge – Sydenham Meadows, for their compassionate care and assistance for 3 years.
