BENNETT It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we share the passing of Leonard “Sam” Bennett of Belmont in his 88th year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Alice (2003). A cherished friend of Janet Jenkins of Belmont. Survived by his brothers Hedley (Pat) Bennett and George (Ruth) Bennett. Predeceased by his parents George Bennett Sr. and Mildred and his many siblings. Dearly missed by his loving caregivers, friends, neighbours and his many nieces and nephews. Sam will be especially missed by his beloved cats. Sam spent his life as a proud farmer and a respected truck driver for many years. He was also a former harness racer and an avid Minneapolis-Moline collector. Friends and family will be received at Bieman Funeral Home on Thursday, March 30th from 12-2PM with a funeral service at 2PM. The family also extends an invitation to a Celebration of Sam’s Life on Thursday, March 30th from 4-6PM at the Donnybrook Legion – Branch 513, 1227 Donnybrook Dr, Dorchester, ON N0L 1G0. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of London-Middlesex.
