I had the pleasure of knowing Joan during my work at the cemetery. I enjoyed her stories over coffee breaks. ❤️

Joan was a cousin, a high school friend and, for us, a matchmaker. She was interested in people she met and a friend to many. We enjoyed our visits and phone calls over the years. She will be missed by us and all who knew her.

To Joan’s family. My name is Phyllis Kelly from Kouchibouguac,NB and I worked with Joan for many years at the Royal Bank in Richibucto,NB. I have many memories and laughs from those days. I even went to Oshawa once to visit her after she moved to Ontario. And we always managed to have lunch on her many visits back to NB.
She had stories galore. Some I could tell you and a few I wouldn’t dare repeat. If any of you are hunters, one of the best was one time she was zipping down the 126 to Moncton in her little Volkswagen and hit a partridge. Then proceeded to tell me that all she had in the car was an old dull jack knife to bleed it with. I,m sure that’s the only time in Kent County a partridge ever got bled.
And to Shelly : She always loved you more than anything in the world.
Rest In Peace Joan.

Cousin Joan was a very special, kind and caring person. We will miss our, sometimes short, phone conversations and her usual greetings with a chuckle; how is everyone doing in Rexton. She loved her Maritime roots and kept in contact with so many. Joan was more than a cousin she was a dear friend that we will miss.
Sending love and condolences to Joan’s family, Barry and Muriel

Joan was my second cousin. I would describe Joan as caring, curious and concerned. She loved her family, kept updated with their activities, and always wanted them to be happy. She cared about people: her loving friends, community members, the professionals who managed her care, folks in the news, and the strangers who became her friends. Joan was a giving soul.
She demonstrated this by taking young relatives to the variety store buying them candy; or offering folks money, so they could get themselves a coffee; sending goodies home with her visitors. She thought of those in need, and truly appreciated her friends who helped her along the way.
Frank and I will miss Joan. May she rest in peace.
Sending love to Joan's family and friends at this time.

Cousin Joan and I were vast friends and enjoyed each other's company, especially our daily phone calls of recent years. I know Joan was kind to all, and will be truly missed. There will be a void in my life. I love you Joan. Sending hugs to Joan's family and friends.
