Obituary of Walter Komarnicky

The Lord said "I Love you And I would never leave you. When you saw only one set of footprints, It was then that I carried you." Walter Komarnicky - Born October 12, 1931 in The Pas, Manitoba - passed away from natural causes on October 22, 2022. Son to Stephen and Dora (Kaplanchuk) and brother to Katherine (Campbell). Walter grew up in Victoria B.C., studied Chemical Engineering at UBC graduating in 1955 and then earned a Master's Degree in 1957. Married Brenda (Myren) in 1956 and moved to Sarnia, Ontario immediately after graduation where he worked for Polymer Corporation (later Polysar) his entire life. For the past five years, Walter and Brenda have lived in Dorchester, Ontario. Walter loved his work which took him to the U.S.S.R., U.S.A., Brazil, England, France and Belgium. While working in Russia, he was able to visit his family's ancestral home in the Ukraine. Walter is the father to Susan (Wayne) Dewey of London, Ontario, Gerald (Zona) of West Vancouver, B.C. and Stephen (Beverly) also of London, Ontario. He is the very proud grandfather to James and Elissa (Susan); Daniel, Melissa, Sara and Tina (Gerry): Katie, Gregory and Shelby (Stephen) and great grandfather to Alexander (Elissa and Alex Walczak of Mississauga) and Irymae (Daniel and Selene Komarnicky of Kamloops, B.C.). Walter was a master woodworker and handyman - intelligent, analytic and always ready for a good debate. Most of all, to our family, he was the perfect father and perfect husband.
