With great sadness we announce the passing of Gerald E. (Joe) Armes of Dorchester on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 in his 89th year.
Loving and devoted husband of Marilyn (Esler) for 61 years.
Predeceased by his parents Elwood and Edna (Knott) Armes and brothers Raymond (the late Dolly), Fred (the late Viv), sisters Ann (the late Ray) and Gladys (the late Harold).
Survived by brothers in law Tom (Carroll), Paul (the late Marg) and George (partner Dianne) and by sisters in law Pat Hansford (Henry) and Connie. Predeceased by brother in law Doug.
Survived by several nieces and nephews.
Will be sadly missed by Heather Black and Nonnie Rowland.
Joe was a proud and dedicated member of the Donnybrook Legion #513, Dorchester for over 55 years.
Friends will be received at the Bieman Funeral Home, 3970 Hamilton Road Dorchester (Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.) where the funeral service will be conducted on Monday, October 17, 2022 at 12:00 noon.
Interment Dorchester Union Cemetery.
A memorial service under the direction of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #513, Dorchester will be held at the funeral home on Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #513, 1227 Donnybrook Drive, Dorchester, ON N0L 1G5 would be appreciated.
