It's with great sadness the family of Kathy Williams announce her passing. Kathy fought a hard and courageous battle against cancer for over 5 years. Kathy is survived by her husband Mark Williams, her son Greg Williams and daughter in law Sidney Williams as well as her parents Bill and Elaine Blaney, her brother Kevin and his wife Tamara and her sister Karen and her husband Jeff. Fondly remembered by her many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Kathy was born in London, Ontario on November 3, 1962. She spent her entire career in the insurance industry and will be best remembered for her amazing talent to mentor and coach others as well as the care and attention she gave to her clients. Kathy poured her heart and soul into her volunteer work. She was the co-founder of the Donnybrook Fiddle and Step Competition and spent many years as a director and president of the North Dorchester Agricultural Society - aka "The Dorchester Fair". Kathy was the happiest when she could help others and she shared her love of food by providing meals for so many. Her secret to making the best broccoli bake may or may not have been passed onto her husband. Thank you to all the caregivers that helped her through her long and exhausting battle against cancer. Extreme gratitude is extended to the nurses and PSWs in the palliative care unit at Parkwood Hospital, your care and love extend to all your patients is so amazing and the grace that you extend to their families make a true difference. A private family service will take place and a Celebration of Kathy's life will be held on Sunday, October 16 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Community Auditorium at the Dorchester Arena, 2066 Dorchester Road, Dorchester. She made us promise that no one will go home hungry. Donations in her memory can be made to the North Dorchester Agricultural Society, P.O.
