Dear Sutton family, I am so sorry that I only just heard of Mrs Sutton's passing. Many a summer day I spent with Maryanne, often at your house. I remember her as a quiet, caring person. She also seemed to be the chosen substitute teacher many times in my classroom at River Heights and since she knew me, would let me help her during what must have been stressful days. It was such a pleasure getting to know Betty Jean as one of her PSWs. She always had a positive attitude and I will always remember taking that attitude with me after I saw her. She gave me a little piece of her ivy plant last summer and it still grows on my back patio. She will be missed.

Dear Basil and family, We're so very sorry to hear of Betty's passing. We hope the memories of your family, love and long life together will give you peace. Mom and Dad loved you and Betty, and were so pleased when you moved to London to the same apartment building and same floor they lived on. Your friendship was a blessing to Mom and Dad - not a lot of people can say they remained friends from teenage years to the day they died. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
