Obituary
Obituary of Carrie Suzanne Irwin
Please share a memory of Carrie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Carrie Suzanne Irwin, 63, of Mossley, passed away peacefully on July 31 with her husband Bill by her side. In April, Carrie was diagnosed with glioblastoma. She pursued treatment at the Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre in London. Carrie's remaining days had many moments of peace and joy as she was cared for at home by family and friends. On July 25 she was transferred to Sakura House Hospice in Woodstock for comfort and care until her passing.
Born in London, Ontario Canada, Carrie was the daughter of Donna Mayo and Don Weber. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 43 years, Bill; her children, Stacie (Francesco), William (Colleen) and Bonnie (Tanner); and her grandchildren Roy and Elgin.
Carrie farmed alongside her husband for more than 40 years and also worked as a seasonal tax preparer. She lived life with determination, a sharp wit and a generous heart. She never hesitated to speak her mind, laugh loudly or lend a hand to those in need. She filled her years with devotion to her family, a softness for animals and an appreciation for the beauty of the natural world. Her legacy lives on in the family she nurtured and friendships she treasured.
Visitation will be held at the family home (3317 Cromarty Drive, Mossley) on Thursday, August 6, 6-8 p.m. and Friday, August 7, 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Putnam United Church on Saturday, August 8 at 10:30 a.m.
