At Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, Strathroy on Thursday May 28, 2026 Nancy Elaine Rutherford (Elgie) of Mossley (Formerly Dorchester) in her 80th year Beloved wife of the late Douglas Rutherford Dear mother of Kelly Gemmell (Artie), and Sheri Rutherford all of Mossley Loving grandmother of Ashley Gemmell (Josh Madgett), Shae Gemmell (Raychel) and Chanel Feletto ( Daniel) Loving great grandmother Austin, Elizabeth, Chase and Audrey Sister of Robert Elgie (Gayle) Sister in law of Willie Rutherford (Marion), Allen Rutherford (Michelle), Anne Mullis (Brian) and Ronny Rutherford Predeceased by her parents Len and Anne Elgie, her in-laws Sam and Geny Rutherford, and her brother in laws Sam and Chuck Rutherford Fondly remembered by niece Lisa Tapp-Kropf (Tim) and her nephews Chad Elgie(Tara) and Sean Elgie and her good friend Mike Rowse Nancy enjoyed her working career, especially the cafeteria at GM Diesel, where she retired Oct 2001 after many years of feeding all her favourite fellas. Nancy lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed playing and watching golf, knitting baby blankets and being mauled and kissed by her 2 favourite 4 legged little monsters Kiara and Pepper She loved to travel and head south to Florida for the winter months. Cremation has taken place and a private burial will be held at the Dorchester Union Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #513, 1227 Donnybrook Drive, Dorchester on Sunday June 14, 2026 from 2 pm to 5pm.
