Our entire Huctwith family would like to send our deepest condolences to Judy, Mike and Jeff. We were so saddened to hear of Arnie’s passing.
Last time we saw Arnie he was with his pal Piper, out for a stroll near Mom and Craig’s place at the Dorchester Terrace.
For most of Craig’s, Heather’s and my life, he wasn’t Arnie, he was Mr Lawlor, and he taught Heather and I accounting and encouraged us to squeeze those pencils. I was also fortunate to have been coached in hockey by Mr Lawlor, along with his fellow coach, Bill Rodgers, who we also see at the Terrace. This along with our crew being friends with Jeff and Mike.
My Dad goes way back with Arnie teaching alongside him at LDSS, and also sitting on the committee to bring our first arena to town (pic above). They both took a great level of pride in that accomplishment. And their collective 5 kids enjoyed that building immensely.
And Mom was always the “prettiest girl in town” to Arnie. Always the charmer.
To the Lawlors, we send our best. Arnie was a super guy, and a great citizen. He left a mark and that’s all you can do. We miss him already.

We remember Arnie Lawlor—Red, as I always knew him—as a truly remarkable presence in our lives. Red was not only a tremendous friend, but also a cherished Clarkson hockey teammate to my late father, Pat. Their kindness and spirit touched our family deeply, and we are forever grateful for the memories we shared. During this time, our thoughts are especially with Jude and the boys, holding them close in our hearts. Red’s legacy lives on in the warmth and camaraderie they brought to everyone around them.

We are very sorry for your loss Arnie taught me Accounting. He was a great teacher. He also became a friend of my mom and dad while umpiring baseball. He always asked how my mom was whenever I saw him. I haven't seen him for the last few years but he will be missed by a!of of people -- Norm Kenny

Mr Lawlor was an amazing teacher and I had him for accounting in the late 90’s. He always had a story or a quote to make the lessons stick. The older I get, the more I realize that he was focused on teaching us life lessons, instead of textbook lessons. Sad to hear his passing but lucky to have met him.

As a Huff & Puff goalie, Annie was one of those who could find the back of net on me on a regular basis.
As a Shoppers delivery driver, I had the pleasure to deliver his meds along with good conversation on occasion.
Sympathies to his family and friends.
