Obituary of Bonnie Mae Archer

At the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, St. Thomas on Sunday, May 10, 2026. Bonnie Mae Archer of Belmont in her 82nd year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Norman Edward Archer (2015), her mother Ella Mae Symons (1982), her father Milton Legg (1983), her stepmother Constance Legg (2008) and her stepfather John Symons (1975). Caring mother of Dean Archer (Cindy) of Belmont, Ann Archer (Perry) of London, and Brian Archer, also of London. Cherished grandmother of Jessica Molinski (Mike) of Sudbury, Cameron Archer of London, and Colin Archer. Survived by her sister Sheila Betterly (Karl) of Whitby, half-brothers Steve Symons (Linda) of London, John Symons (Carol) of Strathroy, and Sam Legg (Constance) of London, as well as stepsisters Susan Alvero (Jack) of London, Loraine Minema (Burt) of Aylmer, and Ruth Burger (Bill predeceased) and stepbrother Pat Corbet, both of London. Special gratitude to Bonnie’s stepsister, Susan Alvero, who founded Bonnie’s cherished monthly luncheon tradition and has faithfully upheld it for the past 27 years. We also thank Sonja Kennedy of Belmont for her dedicated work organizing the luncheons and for being Bonnie’s loyal, caring lifelong friend. The Archer family would like to express their grateful appreciation for Bonnie's palliative care at the Complex Continuing Care Unit at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at the Dorchester Union Cemetery where Bonnie will be laid to rest with her husband Norman.
