Margaret Carol Finnigan On Tuesday April 14 2026, Margaret Finnigan peacefully earned her wings and joined her beloved husband of 62 years, best friend and soulmate, Keith Finnigan. Marg and Keith’s love story started in High School in Wingham and it took them to London then Dorchester where they lived for many happy years. They worked together creating beautiful gardens and memories. Margaret was a loving Mother to Mike Finnigan (Jessie) and Heather Fawcett (Rick) and a special guiding light to Karen French (Paul). Predeceased by infant son Gregory (1963). Margaret showered her grandchildren with love. She made little moments so special for Stephanie, Christopher and Shannon Fawcett. She played catch, read them books, made beautiful memories and elaborate birthday cakes. Margaret was the youngest daughter of Ken and Lillian Hastie of Gorrie Ontario. She has joined all her siblings for a joyous reunion. Edith ( Jack, Wallace ) Cameron, Bob (Ilene) Hastie, Tom Hastie and Marie (Bob) Strong. She joins her sister in law Shirley Sallows and is remembered fondly by in laws Lynn and Noreen Finnigan and Mary Hastie as well as many nieces and nephews. Margaret left her family farm to train as a Nurse. She was a true nurturer and mentor and built a career as a Nurse Manager in the Dialysis and Renal Units. Margaret enjoyed family time, travel with Keith and getting dusty on the ball diamond. She was a High School track star with wheels to spare and played ball for numerous teams over the years with two Senior World Series Championships as the highlight. She was a gracious hostess where all were met with open arms and room for more. In retirement, she volunteered at the Dorchester VON as a Senior Fitness Instructor and formed a special bond with the wonderful ladies on that team. Margaret was proof that angels walk among us with the care and love she showed to all. Margaret’s family wish to thank the entire team at McGarrell Place for their extraordinary kindness and compassionate care. Cremation has taken place, family celebration to follow at a later
