Obituary of Sean Anthony Monteith

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Sean "Monty" Monteith on March 5, 2026. Beloved husband of Tammy Monteith for 21 years; loving father of son Mason and daughter Ava. Dear son of Grant and Deirdre Monteith and survived by brothers Geoff (Todie), Kevin and Steven. Fondly remembered by his father and mother-in-law Jim and Linda McCready, sisters-in-law Sara McCready and Jennifer McCready (Matthew Shacklady). Survived by Tammy's father Gary Douglas (Carrie). Sean will be dearly missed by his faithful companion Ivy. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews Layla, Caden, Ryan, Thomas & Eleanor. Sean was a real estate agent for Nu Vista Realty for many years in London. You could always find Sean on the golf course or ATVing, biking, roller blading, hiking or skiing. He loved the outdoors and was a Past Assistant Coach with Dorchester Minor Hockey League. Spending time with family was his greatest joy in life. Mason and Ava cherished the time he spent with them and loved learning from him and being taught new things. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge and stories with them to help them grow. He was always willing to lend a hand. He treasured his holidays with his family and spent many fun times at the Grand Bend and Haliburton cottages. Sean was well liked with his positive outlook, jovial personality and had several lifelong best friends that were like family to him. He always had a very warm and friendly smile and was a fun loving guy. We are so grateful for the life Sean lived, the love he gave and the family he created....his legacy lives on through all of us. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. A private graveside service will be held at the Dorchester Union Cemetery.
