Obituary of Louie Johnston
Please share a memory of Louie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Louie Johnston (Morton), beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026 at the age of 86.
Born on February 27, 1939 in Ireland, Louie carried her Irish roots with pride throughout her life. Her warmth, resilience and gentle spirt touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
She will always be remembered for her bright beautiful smile and the way it could light up any room. She had a deep love for gardens and flowers, finding joy in nurturing life and watching things bloom. She loved to dance, filling gatherings with laughter and music and she adored dogs whose companionship always brought her happiness. In the kitchen, she created not just food, but memories - especially her beloved papa's bread and her delicious short bread which will forever taste like home to those who loved her.
Louie was a devoted wife to her husband Ron and a loving and proud mother to Alma, Neville and Derek. Her greatest joy was her family. She cherished her grandchildren Kyle (Monica), Garret (Marc), Ethan, Felicia and Natasha and was overjoyed to become a great grandmother to Amelia.
She is loving survived by her sister Irene Coulter and remembered with love alongside her sister Florence and brother Eddie.
Her legacy of kindness, warmth and unwavering love will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her. Though she is no longer with us in body, her smile, her laughter and the love she gave so freely will remain forever.
