Obituary of Sterling Edwin Adams

Sterling Edwin Adams, 88, passed away at home on Saturday, November 22, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy May (Moulden), who predeceased him on January 29, 2023; the thought of their reunion brings comfort to all who loved them. Sterling was the cherished father of Rosalind Owens (Peter), Brent Adams (Lisa), and Charity Korianitis (Niko), and the loving grandfather of Isobel and Marcus. He was predeceased by his parents, Rev. John Henry (Ted) and Muriel Adams.  The eldest of seven, Sterling is survived by siblings Beverly (predeceased husband, Horace Mahabir), Bryan (Carol), Dale (Pam), Kelvin (Carol), and Eldon (Sherry). He was predeceased by Glendon (and his wife Grace). He was a proud uncle to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Sterling worked as a Chartered Accountant with Revenue Canada for 30 years, but ministry remained his greatest calling. He faithfully led Bible studies, and alongside Dorothy, supported developing churches. He also served in Crusader leadership, played the trombone, and joyfully contributed as a church pianist for many years. His life was a testimony of faith in action, and he will be deeply missed. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 28th at Lifehouse St. Thomas, 144 Wellington Street, from 1:00–4:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place the same evening at 6:30 p.m., with a livestream available at youtube.com/@LifeHouseMedia. Interment will follow on Saturday, November 29th at 11:00 a.m. at Dorchester Union Cemetery.
