Obituary of Nancy Jean Huyck

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nancy Jean Huyck (née Jeffery), who passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025, at the age of 79, while residing with her daughter in Belmont, Ontario. Born on March 3, 1946, in London, Ontario, Nancy was the cherished daughter of the late Harold Edwin Jeffery and Margaret Jean (Farquhar) Jeffery. She grew up in London and also lived in Dorchester before making her home with family in Belmont. Nancy was predeceased by her beloved sisters, Maryanne Dewan and Jan Hoogstratt, and their husbands, Joe Dewan and Hank Hoogstratt. She will be deeply missed by her children, Cheryl (Steven) Ford of Belmont and Jeff (Gisele) Johnston of Dorchester. Nancy was a proud and loving grandmother to three grandchildren, who brought her endless joy. Nancy will be fondly remembered for her warmth, generosity, and the deep love she held for her family, friends, and community. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to visitation at Bieman Funeral Home, 3970 Hamilton Road, Dorchester, on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 7:00–9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, 4091 Catherine Street, Dorchester, on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., with a reception to follow. Burial and interment will take place in a private ceremony at a later date at Forest Lawn Cemetery, London.
