Barb - our deepest condolences to you and your family from Nancy and I.
I wanted to share how much I appreciated John's leadership and mentorship when he was my supervisor at Stelco Tower back in the eighties. It was the best time during my thirty years at Stelco.
John was humble, down-to-earth and most of all a friend who really cared about his staff.
I have great memories about our mutual involvement in Grimsby soccer and hockey programs as well.
A great man - he will be missed.

My sincere condolences. We will miss John for his loving, caring and humour. He was always looking out for Barb and his kids. He loved his grandkids. He was a proud man who loved his independence till the very end. He will be missed every day. His smile and his way of greeting everyone had some charm in it.
Will miss you John!!

John that delightful smile reminds me of the many good times we had together.
First as couples going to the cottage in the beige Mercedes and dinner dances. When the children arrived and they became interested in sports we spent many an hour watching you coach soccer. Your volunteering was much appreciated by all.

We are remembering joyful times with John and Barb at Burns suppers, meat pie bees and worship at Dorchester Presbyterian. John's wise words and kind presence were always an encouragement. We feel blessed to have known him and some of the family they grew together. Sending love and peace to Barb and the Dorchester fam especially.

Sorry to hear of John’s passing. Lucie and I so enjoyed our visits in the yard. Barb and John were such great neighbors to us. We miss you both. My memory of John is his tenacious focus on his grass and his beautiful backyard. Thinking of the Muir family and hoping all those great memories including that trip to Scotland keep John’s memory alive and well
