Kieth was a wonderful man and a great person to work with we called him Spuds lol!! He was my Sgt. when I was a rookie in 1980 he was always helpful kind and compassionate! He truly was one of the”the good ones” and my wife Deborah was a dispatcher in those days and also worked with him! He will be missed! So sorry for your loss Respectfully Bob and Deb Cann retired LPS

When I joined the LPS in 1979 I recall Keith was a Platoon Sergeant. Although I never worked under his command, I remember him as always being so kind and compassionate to everyone, always with his friendly demeanor. I was honored in 1995 to be promoted to Sergeant and get Keith's 'stripes' when he retired. Seeing him several times in retirement, I always commented that I was thankful he retired allowing my promotion. Rest in peace my friend.

When I came to the London Police Service back in 1980 Keith was one of my sergeants. He was a very kind and patient man throughout our tenure there. I recall one day in the early 90's when I was a sergeant in the Detention Unit (cell block); we had a woman in custody who'd been arrested for fraud the day before and was being held to be interviewed by a member of the Fraud Unit, where Keith was assigned at the time. Keith came in to the cell area and we brought the prisoner out to Keith so he could take her to an interview room. He introduced himself and said "sorry to keep you waiting" to the woman, which I found amusing at the time. But that was Keith...always kind to everyone. He was an example to all of us and I pray that he rests in peace.

My connection to Keith was through Marg and her playing ball with the Dorchester Canadians and then with Sportaculars Canada. Keith was a most competent score keeper, gracious host and supporter of Marg's participation. He was a great man and often had a story to tell us after a game. My sympathy to each of the family at this difficult time. He will be missed but I trust the many memories will keep him with you always..

Keith was the best man at our wedding 64 years ago. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. John and Keith were buddies in Wingham High School and remained good friends throughour their years in London and Dorchester. I heard many a story when the two of them would reminisce over a pint or two. Mr Finnigan will always hold a special place in my heart. I met him at work, through my amazing work mom Heather and I will always remember him as my honorary grandpa. When he found out I loved reading, he started sending me books through Heather at work, books that he handpicked to make sure I enjoyed them, books by my favourite author — a gesture that was a quiet kind of love that said, “I thought of you.” That small act meant the world to me. It always will. I will always cherish those books and I feel so lucky I was able to experience his kindness and thoughtfulness.

Dear Marg and family Truly one of the greatest, kindest men we ever knew. Always willing to lend a hand or an ear whenever needed. Time spent with Keith was calming, relaxing and usually very funny. His droll sense of humour was epic. I am sure our youth group at the time will always remember when Mr. Finnigan put us in jail. It is a blessing to have known him.
